Upholster

Our client is looking for an experienced furniture upholsterer to carry out all aspects of upholstery in a busy, fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Experience in upholstering a diverse range of chairs and sofas using bespoke fabrics is essential along with an understanding of modern & traditional upholstery methods.

You will have a good knowledge of fabric, foam and wood used in upholstering and the technicalities of furniture assembly coupled with flair & an attention to detail.

Key Skills:

* Quality driven and a fine eye for detail

* Flexible in all aspects of work to include pieces and fabric.

* Previous experience of working in upholstery in a manufacturing setting (minimum 5 years)

* Experience in upholstering products from stools to furniture such as sofas, chairs and booths.

* Experience in the use of staple guns and job specific tools.

* High quality of work in order to meet a fast-paced production delivery schedule.

Processes include:

* Safe Staple gun operation.

* Light Assembly

* Heat lance operation

* Drill operation

* Understanding of different fabrics

Working 40 hours per week. The working hours are Monday – Thursday, 7am – 4pm & Friday, 7am – 1pm

Rate of pay is up to £14.50ph
