Job Role: Assistant Estimator

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Salary, £30,000/£40,000 (DOE)

Our client are a construction company established 50 years ago with a turnover of approximately £20 million operating predominantly in South Yorkshire.

They work with Public and Private Sector clients, including several Framework Contracts carrying out contracts valued from £(phone number removed) to £5 million.

They are a growing and progressive company and this role offers a real opportunity of career progression within the Commercial team.

Ideally degree qualified but not essential. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience carrying out the tender process to prepare tender submissions, including taking off quantities, and preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiries. Experience of the Conquest estimating package or similar would be advantageous, but not essential. Mentoring and training would be given to help the successful candidate integrate in the department.

Previous experience ideally needs to include working for companies of a similar size and carrying out similar work to ourselves, although we would consider a candidate who has specialised in a specific trade, eg Drylining, Groundworks, Shop Fitting etc.
