The Raise () has partnered with our client, a global supplier of thin film materials for the RF Wireless, optics, photovoltaic, and MEMS markets in a wide range of industries including semiconductor, life sciences, Aerospace & Defense, consumer-mobility and clean energy. They are a successful team of engineers and technicians hosting a positive and casual environment. Now they are looking for you: their new Production Planning Supervisor to join their team. What you will be doing: As the new Production Planning Supervisor, you will report directly to the General Manger and play a leadership role for managing day-to-day operations to meet production goals, including scheduling, material flow, quality, inventory, and resource allocation. Monitor processes to identify and address inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective planning strategies. This role involves supervising a small team, contributing to process development, managing shipping & receiving, budgeting and reporting. Practically speaking, you will: Take responsibility for daily tactical scheduling/planning of orders to ensure customer deadlines are met Take responsibility for managing documentation associated with inbound/outbound shipments, receipts, work orders, and tracking of customer supplied materials Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning strategies and best practices Manage Purchasing by coordinating with suppliers, handling POs and invoicing, and tracking inventory Analyze data and reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Assist with Budgeting by providing data and input to support VEM's ongoing strategic planning process Supervise and support a small team to ensure departmental goals and targets are achieved Availability occasionally to work alongside the frontline team to ensure customer expectations are met Perform additional duties and projects as assigned The details: This is a permanent full-time management position. The ideal candidate will be based in the Dallas, Texas area and to work in the manufacturing facility. This position offers competitive Salary to work for at least 40 hours/week from Monday to Friday. What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field 5+ years' experience with production planning (required) 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment Hands-on experience with Sage X3 (or similar) ERP systems, and MS Office 2-3 years' experience in a frontline leadership role Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations A willingness to apply extra effort and hours as needed Competency with computer software Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, MS Access Ability to lift up to fifty pounds Looking for meaningful work?
