Position Summary

The job is based in European Union and categorised as hybrid/remote. This is a full-time position (typically Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but is flexible based on need). This role would require upwards of 30% or more travel time with evening, night, and weekend work as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Develop & execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.

* Cultivate & maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out and engaging new prospects.

* Identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide insights for product development and marketing strategies.

* Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless customer experiences.

* Provide product demonstrations, presentations, and technical support to clients as needed.

* Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets to management.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field (advanced Degree preferred)

* Proven track record in scientific sales, preferably in the instrumentation or laboratory equipment sector.

* Strong understanding of the scientific research market (neuroscience/animal behaviour/physiology) with the ability to comprehend and articulate technical product specifications.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

* Willingness to travel extensively within the EU region as required.
