DEVOPS ENGINEER/API SPECIALIST - EST TIME ZONE - REMOTE WORKING
I am seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on API usage and customer support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, coupled with a deep understanding of writing APIs and debugging RESTful APIs. While cloud infrastructure expertise is valuable, this role places greater emphasis on assisting customers in utilizing our APIs effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DESIRED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
* Collaborate with US and affiliate teams to maintain high-quality APIs that meet customer needs and business objectives.
* Assist customers in integrating and utilizing our APIs effectively, providing expert guidance and support throughout the implementation process.
* Troubleshoot and debug RESTful APIs, identifying and resolving issues to ensure seamless functionality and performance.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and best practices to help customers leverage our APIs efficiently.
* Continuously evaluate and improve our API infrastructure, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
* Utilize Terraform for managing API infrastructure, automating deployment and configuration processes as needed.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to improve our API offerings.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
* Bachelors degree in computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
* Strong proficiency in writing and consuming RESTful APIs using languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
* Proven track record of assisting customers in integrating and troubleshooting HTTP REST APIs, with a customer-centric approach.
* Passion for learning and experimenting with various programming languages and technologies.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
* Ability to obtain or currently have US Security Clearance.
DESIRED:
* Extensive experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, with a focus on API development and support.
* Familiarity with microservice architecture and containerization technologies.
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for API deployment and management.
* Certification in AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform is a plus.
