Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in mechanical systems design to join a market-leading, international company.
The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently for a Mechanical Engineer to join the design team.
Within this role you will be responsible for designing and drawing mechanical systems and components, including hydraulics, pneumatics, machinery components, frames, tooling jigs, stillages.

The Role:

Design mechanical systems and components, create drawings using AutoCad ,Solidworks, Inventor. Identify obsolete mechanical components and source alternatives, design modifications to enable upgrades.
Implement continuous improvement
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, 3:30pm finish on Fridays

The person:

Mechanical engineering discipline
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with Managers, colleagues, contractors.
Previous experience of hydraulic, pneumatic systems or press tooling design is desirable but not essentialReference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
