Permanent, Full-time, 37.5hrs pw, Mon-Fri, 9.00am-5.00pm

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Despatch Operative, to join our friendly team.

Duties include:

- Pick, pack and despatch orders from pick lists, ensuring all items are correct for customer orders.
- Ensure deliveries are checked against delivery notes, batch numbers listed where required, and deliveries are put away in designated area.
- Liaise with and assist Production Operatives to ensure products are processed ready for despatch.
- Organise logistics for products that go on pallets for different warehouses.
- Work collaboratively with the Office & Production Manager to ensure Safe and Local Supplier Approval (SALSA) compliance, with specific responsibility for production elements of SALSA e.g. blend records, hard plastic checks, scale calibration, cleaning records, etc.
- Provide office cover as and when required, e.g. answer incoming calls, and serve customers in the on-site shop, etc.

About You

You will need:

- Previous production and despatch experience.
- Flexible attitude to work and willingness to change tasks as and when required.
- Willingness to occasionally work different hours/times of work.
- Ability to work on own using initiative, and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse.
- Ability to work to high Health and Safety standards and follow procedures.
- High degree of attention to detail, quality control, and conscientiousness.
- Ability to work to production schedules.
- Good communication skills, positive and professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation.
- Good literacy and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.
