The Opportunity

Your primary focus will be on collaborating closely with the wider team and establishing strong working relationships with customers who have already implemented our client’s systems. As a Release Engineer, you will be overseeing product delivery, monitoring client testing and production environments, and managing deliveries from the cloud packaging platform. This position also entails effectively managing expectations and risks among the account manager, client, and implementation teams.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

Configure environments according to customer specifications.
Oversee Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments, including Salesforce and integrated technologies such as GIS and Document Management.
Validate deployed products and integrations through comprehensive testing.
Identify automation opportunities and develop scripts using tools like CumulusCI or ANT.
Collaborate with Senior Test Engineers, client Domain Administrators, and project managers on tool configurations and upgrades.
Use tools such as GearSet, GIT, DataLoader, ChangeSets, and Salesforce Environment Hub for code and configuration deployment.
Plan deployments carefully to identify complexities and dependencies.
Ensure product quality by working with Developers and Project Managers on testing.
Analyse and troubleshoot deployment issues promptly.
Perform upgrades and deploy patches to customer environments with minimal disruption.
Conduct data migrations and updates to maintain data integrity.
Communicate with customers throughout the process and document deployment notes.
Automate repetitive tasks to focus on stakeholder engagement.

Your Skills and Experience

Skilled in software and database management, with expertise in identifying and resolving issues in Testing or DevOps.
Highly logical and detail-oriented approach.
Capable of effectively communicating technical steps and issues to customers, providing practical solutions.
Strong problem-solving abilities in complex technical settings.
Experienced in deploying software and configurations in PaaS/SaaS environments.
Proficient in administering various client-specific instances, from Development to Production.
Commercially experienced in enterprise-level software or database deployment.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively, managing deployment tasks efficiently.
Experienced in software implementation and configuring systems for clients.Benefits
