We are excited to be expanding our leadership roles with the creation of The Programme Leader role at our Middlesbrough Centre. This role will hold key responsibility for leading the planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum that effectively prepares all learners to be successful in their intended next steps.

The Programme Leader will work in close partnership with the Head of Curriculum and Engagement to plan, develop and maintain an engaging learning environment and to provide line management to delivery staff whilst maintaining a fractional teaching responsibility.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       Provide consistently high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that models Nacro’s high standards and aspirations and leads to excellent outcomes for all learners. 

·       Ensure that all learners receive appropriate and effective support, advice, and guidance throughout their programme, including pastoral and academic support where needed.

·       Provide effective line management of the programme team, ensuring that all employees are clear on their roles and responsibilities, and that team members are appropriately supported and developed.

·       Support the development and maintenance of the learning environment including in relation to facilities and resources to ensure a high-quality, industry standard learning experience.

·        Work in close partnership with the Head of Curriculum and Engagement to develop and implement a high-quality, innovative, and responsive curriculum that meets the needs of learners and employers.

·        Ensure that the curriculum is delivered effectively and efficiently by employees, using a range of appropriate teaching and learning strategies, technologies, and resources.

The successful candidate should have significant experience of delivering teaching, learning and assessment to young people in the Further Education and Skills sector . You will need knowledge and application of contemporary teaching theory and practice, alongside experience of curriculum design and development.
