Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Durham

Start Date: Immediate start

Salary: £80 - £120 per day (DOE)

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a fantastic secondary school based in the Durham area. The school is currently seeking a higher level teaching assistant to work within a supportive and collaborative department to share ideas with.

As a higher level teaching assistant it is key that you are able to support students throughout Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 and encourage engagement in their learning. You will have the ability to take further responsibility where required to cover and teach planned lessons alone and assist teachers with planning and marking.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:

Level 4 Teaching Assistant
Classroom management experience
Behavioural management experience
Thorough understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
