Our client is an accommodation provider who are currently looking for a Registered Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in East Sussex to set up and develop a supported living service.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable management experience within a social care setting, hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care or equivalent, have an Enhanced DBS, with a good working knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Regulations 2010 and the CQC guidance. As a Registered Manager you will be involved in the CQC registration process and initial communication with local authorities and referral agencies, tendering and recruitment.
This vacancy does require you to have your own transport.
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:
* Demonstrable management experience in a social care setting
* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* An Enhanced DBS is essential
* Be able to deal effectively with emergencies and cope under pressure
* Have a working knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Regulations 2010 and the CQC guidance ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety’ along with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
Your duties as a Registered Manager will include:
* Maintaining an up to date, in-depth and practical understanding of existing and pending legislation, relevant policies and standards in order to contribute fully on the strategic direction of the service
* Ensuring timely submission of reports and notifications to CQC
* Responsible for the completion and oversight of relevant records and audits to comply with regulations
* Ensuring that service users have their needs met and the service meets the standards set in the Statement of Purpose
* Responsible for the development and maintenance of care planning systems and systems for case recording in accordance with regulatory requirements; responding to complaints and investigating as appropriate
* Providing a capable environment for people with learning and physical disabilities through developing the physical environment and the skills of the staff team and strengthening the links with multidisciplinary community teams
* Providing necessary information, instruction, supervision and guidance to all staff in respect of implementing organisation’s policies and procedures
* Identifying and meeting the learning and development needs of staff through internal and external training delivery and maintain a record of learning and development activities and outcomes
* Lead communication and partnership working with other professional agencies, local community and voluntary groups so that service users and families/carers are helped to access a diverse range of opportunities and that the service is supported to deliver excellent standards of care
* Responsible for managing, monitoring and controlling the budget in providing services that demonstrates value for money
* Develop robust and effective administrative systems relating to the daily running of the service and maintenance of financial records
* Establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team and provide leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to staff
* Any other duties appropriate to the grade and post
Salary and Reward Package:
* £34,500 - £37,000 per annum depending on experience
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Hours:
* 37 hours per week (5 days per week over 7 days)
* Must be flexible to work some weekends, evenings and bank holidays
* (Flexibility required to cover peripatetic duties and area management responsibilities across organisation)
