Quantity Surveyor

An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, privately owned contractor based in Oxford within their Projects Division, assisting with the delivery of projects up to the value of £20M.
This contractor is a long-established regional construction company in the South, working on various projects including new build, fit out and refurbishment in the education, residential, health, leisure, commercial and industrial sector.
Quantity Surveyor - Duties:
- Supporting and reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Assisting with planning and subcontract procurement
- BOQs
- Take offs
- Valuation and variations
- Site appraisals
- Scheduling
- Chasing payments
- Cost reviews
- CVRs and final accounts
Quantity Surveyor - Requirements:
- Ideally QS degree qualified
- Circa 5 years post degree experience, the majority of which is main contracting.
- Demonstrable experience of being commercial lead on projects up to and in excess of £1m - £10m
- Estimating experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Competitive and negotiated procurement routes.
- Experience in D&B and traditional
- Competent with the JCT suite of Contracts and NEC would also be useful.
- Resides within 30 minutes of Oxford as will be expected to travel up to 30 mins in any direction from Oxford.
- Shown longevity with previous employers.
