Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Lead Secondary Design Engineer on a 9-month contract based in Stafford (Hybrid – 3 days in the office minimum).
This position falls INSIDE IR35
Our client is looking for a Lead Secondary Design Engineer with a background in HV Substation Design to assist with a HVDC project providing support for the project team by producing or subcontracting the activities below.
Activities:
• Participate in Safety reviews
• Produce SLD & KLD
• Verify P&C Schemes from suppliers
• Interface with internal & external P&C suppliers
• Verify Structure Designs
• Collaborate in project team
• Verify back office designs
Requirements:
• Knowledge of National Grid specification
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in HV Substation design
• Knowledge of GE, Siemens and Hitachi Protection Relays
