APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Detroit, MI looking to add a Family Advocate to their already amazing team. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE:
* Assisting with the completion of child health screenings and other required assessments
* Maintaining familiarity with referral requirements
* Recruiting prospective families and assisting with the enrollment process
* Coordinating with the center staff to ensure an integrated family curriculum
* Conducting home visits as needed to facilitate family action plans and identifying goals for student learning
* Acting as a case manager and collaborating with local agencies to bridge the gap between families and programs within the community
* Collaborating with management to plan, implement and evaluate family and community partnership goals
* Engaging in workshops, conferences, college courses and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
* Associate or Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field
* 3+ years of experience in social work preferred
* Experience education or childcare a plus
* Positive attitude
