An exciting opportunity has become available for a Marketing and Communications Officer with demonstrable and impeccable copywriting skills, a keen eye for detail to oversee the internal and external marketing activities and communications for our client’s organisation.

Marketing Manager Responsibilities

Your main roles will include but are not limited to:

Supporting the Marketing and Communications Manager in developing the organisation’s communications strategy, implementing communications initiatives and monitoring/measuring their success.
Supporting Picker project and programme teams with marketing materials.
Providing internal and external copy collateral via the medium of blogs, case studies, articles, social media content etc. to reach specific audiences and demographics externally, and drive employee engagement internally, supporting other teams with copy and editorial support where it is needed.
Working with the PR consultant to create, promote and distribute press releases to targeted media.
Overseeing the maintenance and development of the Picker website and marketing channels to ensure content is informative and engaging for maximum impact and income.
Coordinating all social media activity & initiatives, working collaboratively and independently to develop social content via different mediums.
Monitoring SEO rankings, optimising content and improving the website performance in accordance with the marketing strategy.
Supporting the Events Coordinator by attending occasional conferences and events where required (UK only and travel expenses reimbursed)

Marketing Manager Experience

This is the perfect role for you if you are organised, exercise a fine sense of attention to detail in everything that you do, have an analytical, strategic mindset and are an excellent copywriter with demonstrable experience of working in a similar role for a range of different audiences.

You will have:

Excellent, grammatically correct written and verbal English communication skills and be able to write in a professional yet empathetic tone.
A degree or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience.
The ability to collaborate and pitch your ideas to people of all seniority levels.
The ability to act on initiative especially from a remote working environment.
An awareness of website development and content and be able to manage this in order to increase optimisation, therefore some knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics 4 is essential.
The ability to work with a range of media and are adept at utilising platforms such as WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook and X. If you have PR and media experience that will be an added bonus, however there is a consultant on hand to assist with.
Proficiency in the use MS office applications at an intermediate level.
Please note that you must be able to evidence your previous copywriting skills through posted and published articles, blog, case studies and content in order to be successful in the application process for this role.

Experience of working in the healthcare sector or knowledge of the healthcare sector is essential to this role due to the nature and terminology of the work.

Location

OX4, Oxford

This is a full time, permanent position role working Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. This is a hybrid working role, however you can work from the office if this is your preference. You will be required to attend the office for business needs and must therefore be flexible to accommodate this.

There is parking on site.

Due to the urgency of this role, our client wishes to start the successful candidate as soon as possible.  Interview details are TBC should you be successfully shortlisted.

There will be a 6 month probationary period, subject to demonstrable performance whilst in role.
