We are now recruiting on behalf of our client for an EHSQ Officer, working in the Alfreton area. You will be assisting the EHSQ Manager to maintain full site compliance with established standards and statutory requirements. This is a full time, permanent role.

Duties -

- Quality Management: Responsible for Maintenance, Auditing, Inspection and Monitoring Quality Management processes in order to maintain quality standards in line with compliance requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

- Assist with compiling data for compliance reporting, both internally (Corporate) and externally, including regular EHS performance reports for site management review.

- Performance of emissions and exposure monitoring, risk assessment, environmental compliance and protection, waste management, root cause analysis and incident investigation. Conduct independent EHS plant/site inspections.

- Governance: Assist the EHSQ Manager with site compliance with Responsible Care (RC) Codes and all relevant EHS legal requirements. Support the implementation of site generated and consolidated annual EHS targets, measures and KPI’s.

- Competence: Responsible for provision and delivery of training as specified by the site training matrix, on new or revised EHS/Q systems, in dialogue with the EHSQ Manager. You will also be expected to facilitate toolbox talks on ad hoc EHSQ subjects in line with developing trends and incidents. Actively participate in site EHS meetings as a staff representative.

What we are looking for -

- 3 ‘A’ Levels (or equivalent) – preferably in Science/Maths subjects and ideally NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management and/or Internal Auditor Training – ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.

- Must be experienced in maintaining integrated Management Systems, coordinating external compliance audits, in particular IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

- You will have a strong background in Quality Assurance and ideally experience in Health, Safety and Environmental disciplines.

- Good computer literacy, used to dealing with EHSQ systems and databases, to capture information and data. Ideally experienced with SAP systems.

-You will be a proactive individual with a high attention to detail. In addition, you will be a strong communicator for both internal and external stakeholders.

- Ideally you will have experience of delivering presentations and training at varying levels within EHSQ.
