Customs and Shipping Coordinator

£25,000 to £28,000 per annum
An international manufacturing business are looking for an enthusiastic Customs and Shipping Coordinator to join their site in Sunderland.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the movement in the goods throughout the UK and globally.
The Role & Responsibilities
* Compiling data from a variety of suppliers for import
* Checking invoices for accuracy
* Dealing with suppliers for any documentation amendments
* Acting as the main point of contact for al hauliers and agents for customs clearance
* Organising shipments to and from third party contractors
* Arranging export shipping documentation i.e – customs invoice, packing list, certificate of origin
Knowledge & Experience
* Proven previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of UK road haulage
* Awareness of dangerous goods regulations
* Knowledge of oversized shipment requirements
* Familiar with movement of items related to the mechanical engineering industry
* Good working knowledge of ERP systems
