Mainstay Recruitment is currently seeking a HVAC Engineer for an organisation where you will perform repairs, maintenance, and minor new works. 
The ideal candidate will prioritize health and safety, ensuring compliance with all necessary training and protocols.

Responsibilities:

As a HVAC Engineer you will execute Statutory, Mandatory, and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks maintaining comprehensive records and documentation.
As a HVAC Engineer you will respond promptly to reactive repairs and callouts for HVAC systems.
You will conduct minor installation projects, such as refurbishments, adhering to safety protocols and documentation requirements.
You will ensure the presence of all necessary Health & Safety documentation (RAMS) before commencing tasks.
You will independently interpret drawings, specifications, and other documentation to complete assigned tasks.
As a HVAC Engineer you will document all completed tasks and maintenance activities accurately via the PDA system and distribute relevant documentation promptly.
You will report any equipment or system defects to management promptly.
You will provide mentorship to apprentices as needed.
You will collaborate with end-users and the organisation’s supply chain members when necessary.
Essential Skills:

City and Guilds certification in Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification.
Proficient in safe handling of refrigerants (FGAS)
Extensive experience in HVAC maintenance and repairs.
Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
Possession of a valid UK Driving Licence.
Punctuality and reliability.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills.
Desirable Skills:

Previous experience working in a commercial environment.
Familiarity with the requirements of the JSP 375.
Accredited First Aid qualification.
Accredited Health and Safety qualification.
Membership in a relevant professional body.
Previous experience operating in an MOD environment and/or possessing SC clearance
