Head of Sustainability

Head of Sustainability - Birmingham - M&E Contracting Business.

This is a brand new role.

You will play a pivotal role in driving commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability across a large M&E contracting business.

You will own the company's Carbon Reduction Plan to drive the Scope 1, 2 and 3 agenda.

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will gather data on the environmental impact, energy consumption, waste generation and any other relevant metrics across the business to identify areas for improvement.

You will coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health conservation and renewable energy initiatives, while assessing the financial implications of initiatives to include cost savings and return on investment.

You will have genuine passion for the environment and sustainability with demonstrable experience managing an environmental function with the ability to promote environmental awareness and influence internal and external stakeholders.

A strong attention to details for compiling accurate statistics and writing factual environmental reports.

Formal qualifications in Environmental Management or similar is preferred and membership of IEMA or CIWEM is beneficial as is extensive knowledge of ISO 14001.

Full UK Driving Licence and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
