Job Title: IaaS DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared)
Location: Exeter / Hybrid
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £500 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
About Us: Join our client to drive the evolution of our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment. I am seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the development and management of scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, enabling seamless collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes to provision and manage compute platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements for IaaS solutions.
Develop and maintain shared software environments using tools like Docker containers and Conda environments.
Deploy and manage trial implementations on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and private Linux compute clusters.
Implement and continuously improve security measures to protect data and assets.
Support platform testing activities and troubleshoot any issues that arise.Required Skills:
Active SC Clearance required
Strong expertise in infrastructure development and automation.
Proficiency in implementing IaC processes and DevOps best practices.
Experience with system integration and designing resilient interfaces between systems.
Technical understanding of relevant subject matter, particularly in data science and earth observation.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant practices into work.
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to find innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Understanding of information security principles and best practices.Proficiency in cost analysis and understanding of associated costs linked to proposed solutions
