Internal Sales - Builders Merchant

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Internal Sales person to join a leading builders merchant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the builder’s merchant sector and will be responsible for driving sales, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively generate sales.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and timely responses.
Close sales deals and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Welcome and assist customers, both in-person and over the phone.
Identify customer needs and provide expert advice on products and services.
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product range, including features, benefits, and applications.
Stay updated on industry trends and new product developments.
Offer technical support and product advice to customers.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales data.
Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Support the preparation of promotional materials and in-store displays.
Work closely with other sales team members and departments to achieve overall company goals.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.   
Requirements

Proven sales experience, within the builders merchant industry.
Strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections. Full-time position with working hours Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00, and alternate Saturdays, 08:00 - 12:00.
