Utility Business Analyst

Required to visit our offshore office on monthly basis

We develop specialised solutions, able to model and simulate our client’s cost, consumption and procurement activities, for operational delivery and online reporting. A dedicated outsourcing team is supporting our clients, both end-users and TPIs, brokers and consultants, while we offer insourcing solutions to dedicated partners.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Business Analyst with expertise in UK and Irish utility markets, electricity, gas, and water to support our company progression product development, implementation and deployment. The ideal candidate is expected to:
* work with our IT team in the generation of system driven process.
* configure systems and operational process for our delivery team.
* be involved in selected product delivery, in the role of specialist, coordination with our internal account managers.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry third-party charges, contract structures for fixed and flexible products, and extensive experience in bureau services, including bill processing, invoice validation, budgeting, and modelling.
The ideal candidate should be available to travel abroad to our Romanian office in Cluj Napoca, with monthly frequency, based on business requirements for training and mentoring, as well as it should support our offshore office management with internal resources and Romanian Authorities.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
the candidate should have experience in the utility industry:
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy markets, with a focus on UK and Irish electricity, gas, and water.
* Advanced understanding of option pricing theories and tools and their application to physical assets
* Deep understanding over third-party charges and contract structures for fixed and flexible products
* Deep understanding over bureau services (bill processing, invoice validation, budgeting, and modelling)
* Understanding of UK procurement practices between end-users, brokers, and consultants
* Able to provide clear and concise reporting of all energy and sustainability activities, metrics (cost savings, CO2, water, etc), and achievements on prescribed intervals or as requested by client.
* Previous experiences in either data analyst, market analyst or operation analyst with proven track record of success in analysing market data and developing actionable insights.
* 3 years of team management experience
LANGUAGES
* Fluent English
* Romanian language would represent a significant advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
the candidate should have the following qualifications and/or experiences:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

* Operate as business analyst or business analyst support.
* familiar with GitLab environment and coding practices
* advanced MS Excel user and Office package in general
* Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
* Able to work with energy procurement stakeholders, including end-users, brokers, and consultants.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
