About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while gaining valuable experience in different educational settings. Whether you are seeking temporary work or looking to explore various teaching environments, we have many opportunities available.
Responsibilities:
As a supply teacher your responsibilities may vary depending on the schools you are placed in. Typical duties will include:
Delivering Lessons: Teach pre-prepared lessons according to the school’s curriculum and policies, ensuring continuity of learning for students in the absence of their regular teacher.
Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, managing behaviour and ensuring student engagement and participation.
Supporting learning: Provide support and assistance to students as needed, answering questions, and facilitating learning activities to help students achieve their learning objectives.
Adapting to Different Environments: Quickly adapt to different school settings, routines and teaching styles, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in various classroom situations.
Communicating with Staff: Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition and effective communication during your placement.
Requirements:
To succeed as a supply teacher, you will need:
* An Enhanced DBS (or be willing to complete one)
* QTS or other relevant education qualifications
* Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a variety of different school settings.
Additional Details:
Hours: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive, based on the M1 - M6 teaching scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location: Oxfordshire
