NPD Technologist
* Swansea
* Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
* OR Consider part time around 32 hours per week
* £30 - £40k dependant upon experience

A passion for food is essential. We are offering a flexible position and rate based on experience. We are searching for someone who is structured but is also innovative with a creative flair. Communication skills are key for customers, supplier and colleagues interactions. You must be able to prioritise workload according the changing needs of the business and have some sound project management skills. You must be an organised problem solver who will take ownership of projects and activities who is able to support and mentor junior team member. Having a commercial awareness is a given. Able to support and mentor junior team member.
Minimum 1 year experience in an NPD role in food manufacturing.
Role requirements:
Manage NPD / EPD critical paths from brief to launch
* Receipt of brief / development of EPD brief
* Conduct required market research
* Development of recipe in accordance with food safety requirements
* Support purchasing team with procurement of new raw materials and packaging
* Kitchen trials and sample production
* Organise and manage factory trials
* Product signoff
* Artwork approval
* Specification approval
* Product launch
* Postlaunch review
