Senior Electronics Engineer

Permanent, 37.5 Hours per Week.

£50,000 per annum - £60,000 per annum

Position Summary

Futures Manufacturing Recruitment work alongside one of the world’s leading developers of Flow Assurance technology for the Energy, Petrochem, Utilities and Pharmaceutical markets. The organisation has multiple manufacturing and design centres around the world, and their Leeds Factory and Design Studio urgently requires an experienced Electronics Lead who has a proven track record of Project Delivery, Problem Solving, Team Leadership, Electronics and Firmware Design and Reviews, Close liaison with Senior Leadership Teams etc.  

From an engineering perspective, you will have a passion for electronic design and a skill set that includes analysing, designing, testing, debugging, and enhancing existing/new products; task management, defect management, requirements capture, verification and validation; and Unit testing/regression testing.

From a leadership perspective, you will take ownership of Projects and be accountable to the Senior Leadership Team. You will be the driving force when projects hit bumps in the road. Will you be a proven problem solver, innovator and leader – setting a great example to the electronics engineering tea, working in partnership with the mechanical engineering personnel to provide solutions and report progress back to the SLT.

Job Purpose:

This is a critical role where you will own projects and become the decision maker on key solutions to solve complex problems, working in a brand-new lab with major investment recently being financed.

Responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will work as part of a small local team but as a part of a larger UK team.

In this role you will have a range of responsibilities, from defining and driving deliverables on projects to being hands on with the hardware and software, designing and testing to ensure functionality and reliability. Working on new user interface boards, you will be at the pinnacle of electronics in the Leeds site.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a team player able to demonstrate a strong level of initiative and be a self-motivated problem solver.

Experience Requirements

Experience programming in C and creating firmware for microcontrollers
Demonstrable knowledge of the full product development lifecycle
Hands on experience designing and altering electronic hardware
