Band 2 - £11.45/hr (Weekdays), £16.14 (Saturdays) & £20.95 (Sundays) - 37.5 hours per week
Various shifts to cover - Mornings 07.00-15.00, Afternoons 12.00-21.00, Nights 21.00-07.00. Flexibility to work any of these shifts as required is essential, based on a staff rota.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a diligent and professional Control Room Operative to join our security team. This crucial role involves staffing our Control Room Centre, monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, and responding to security requests.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor approximately 300 internal/external CCTV cameras, alarm, and access control systems to ensure safety and security.
Conduct regular checks on all security equipment at the start of each shift and report any faults.
Operate digital recording systems to playback, save, and print images, ensuring all evidence is correctly logged and managed.
Respond to urgent and non-urgent security requests, liaising with security officers and emergency services as necessary.
Monitor fire and intruder alarms, following procedures, and taking appropriate action, including notifying police and emergency services.
Maintain records of all security-related incidents, including lost/stolen property, vehicle damage, and break-ins, and assist police with investigations.
Supervise out-of-hours maintenance help desk, logging issues and ensuring they are addressed appropriately.
Manage and monitor access control systems, including creating and processing access control cards and responding to alarms.Person Requirements:

Must hold a valid SIA CCTV Licence
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
Two years' experience in a similar role/environment.
NVQ/SITO training in Security Services & CCTV operation is essential.This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
