Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer II will report to the Technical Engineering Manager and will be responsible for continuous improvement project planning and execution throughout the facility. Continuous improvement initiatives will revolve around safety, quality and production. This engineer will also function as a supporting resource for the maintenance and manufacturing teams.
Identify and act on continuous improvement initiatives with emphasis on Injection Molding process improvements with a special emphasis on Front-to-Back savings.
Manage multiple cross functional projects using solid project management standards, coupled with a sense of urgency for our customers and our employees.
Creation and execution of capital expenditure projects of varying size.
Study work force utilization, analyze space requirements and propose equipment designs.
Plan estimates, production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Investigate and recommend equipment alternatives and manufacturers for benchmarking.
Utilize machine shop equipment for fabrication of various fixtures, containment deflectors, chutes, and other similar items.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.
