Allergy Technician

Align ENT & Allergy is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Allergy Technician to join our team. As an Allergy Technician, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of allergy-related conditions.

Responsibilities
Perform allergy testing, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
Administer allergy immunotherapy, including subcutaneous and sublingual formulations, under the direction of physicians.
Educate patients on allergy prevention and management strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting test results, treatments administered, and patient responses.
Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of allergy testing and treatment materials.
Collaborate with the medical team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide compassionate and professional patient care, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
Document and bill to insurance companies necessary charges for allergy treatment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a medical assistant or allergy technician program is highly desirable.
Previous experience as an Allergy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of allergy testing techniques and procedures, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests.
Understanding of allergy immunotherapy administration and monitoring.
Ability to interpret allergy test results and explain them to patients.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the medical team.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
