As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance across all departments within the bank. Reporting to the lead auditor, you will conduct audit tests, analyze internal controls, and draft audit observations.
Responsibilities:
* Review and evaluate the risk-based compliance program to ensure adequate monitoring and recommend improvements.
* Develop annual compliance audit plans and integrated audit steps for various departmental audits.
* Document, review, and evaluate the system of internal controls to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
* Identify and assess control deficiencies, provide recommendations, and monitor timely remediation.
* Assist with documentation and evaluation of internal control systems.
* Perform compliance audits within budget hours and provide continuous status updates.
* Draft preliminary findings and discuss them with the supervisor.
* Maintain current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
* Prepare management, board, and regulatory reports, audits, and regulatory examinations.
* Participate in job-specific and bank training programs.
* Maintain confidentiality of bank information.
Qualifications:
* 4+ years of experience in compliance or audit environment in a bank setting.
* Certification in Regulatory Compliance Management (CRCM) is required.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and follow tasks through completion.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills in formal settings.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work in a team environment.
