Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Under supervision, cleans, adjusts, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on equipment in the Dewatering & Drying Facility and in the Milorganite Storage Facility, such as belt filter press, classification screens, milling equipment, product elevators, storage bins and/or tanks, transporters, wet electrostatic precipitators, dust handling equipment, chemical storage facilities, fuel oil storage facilities and other related components in a safe and efficient manner to produce a saleable product, Milorganite.
Work is performed in an industrial environment and involves exposure to raw sewage, confined spaces, blended sludges, process chemicals, odors, dust; extremes in temperatures and humidity, noise, lubricants and moving equipment.
Work is normally performed on the day shift with occasional need to work overtime to meet emergencies, process needs and shipping demands.
