Estimator- Cladding

Job Title: Estimator

Location: Cambridge, UK

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE

Position Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by accurately assessing project costs and preparing competitive bids. You will collaborate closely with our sales, design, and project management teams to ensure that our proposals align with client expectations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects while working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project requirements.

* Conduct site visits and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather relevant information for cost estimation.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.

* Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.

* Collaborate with internal teams to review and finalize proposals, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

* Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project managers to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or cladding industry.

* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.

* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

* Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.

* Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary in the range of £50,000-£60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
