Lead Data Cabling Engineer

A growing business that provides and installs mobile signal boosters in commercial and residential properties is looking for a skilled Lead Data Cabling Engineer with experience in IT, AV, or Ariels. Along with a salary of up to £42,000 per annum, you will also receive bonus opportunities, a company van, 25 days’ holiday, and a pension scheme. 

You will be joining the Hartley Wintney-based business at a time of expansion and will take responsibility for the installation, termination and maintenance of system hardware and data cables, including Cat 5,  Cat 6, Cat 6a, and low-loss cables. Most of the work is in the South East of England, however some projects are located across the UK with occasional work in Europe. As such it is important that you can drive and are comfortable travelling and staying overnight when required. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. 

As Lead Data Cabling Engineer, your responsibilities will include: 

Pulling, routing, and terminating data cables, including Cat 5, Cat 6, Cat 6a, and low-loss coax cables.
Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mobile signal boosting equipment.
Verifying and testing cables for connectivity and performance.
Collaborating with project teams to determine cable placement and infrastructure requirements.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
Completing accurate and detailed documentation of work performed.
Assisting with other infrastructure-related tasks as required.
We’re looking for a Lead Data Cabling Engineer with: 

Previous experience in pulling and terminating data cables, including Cat & Cat 6a.
Previous experience of cabling for IT, AV, and Ariels.
Familiarity with low-loss coax cable installation.
Ability to work with specialised cables (training will be provided).
Clean driving license.
Valid passport in case of travel outside of the UK.
CSCS or equivalent certification.
IPAF and PASMA certifications (desirable).
