Laser Operator

Evo Personnel are acting as an employment agency and we are looking to recruit a Laser Operator for our prestigious manufacturing client in Blackburn

Duties:
- Operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and form various materials according to specifications
- Set up and calibrate laser machines, ensuring proper alignment and focus
- Load and unload materials onto the laser machine bed
- Monitor the laser cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality of cuts
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on laser machines, such as cleaning lenses and replacing parts
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic computer skills for machine programming and data entry
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials if necessary
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

Working hours and pay

Monday- Friday shift 2pm-10pm

Pay £13.93-15.00 depends on experience
