Purchasing Manager

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are exclusively working with a growing business based in Brighouse in the search for an experienced Purchasing manager. My client is a leading manufacturer within its market and is currently operating at a turnover of £35 million.
My client is looking for a confident individual who can build strong relationships with suppliers whilst implementing, maintaining and reviewing suppliers. This role will provide support to the businesses’ focus on environmental, social, governance and sustainability related products. The successful incumbent will be expected to work with numerous internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient procurement of products to ensure production can fulfil market demands.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
• Develop and create relationships with key suppliers
• Utilise and manage the RFQ process for cost efficiencies
• Implement, maintain & review Supplier Contract and standards
• Set up supplier risk database based on Sustainability and to include risk of supply and exposure to applicable commodities to track pricing
• Drive the Supply Chain ESG goals by supporting all Environmental, Social and governance decisions with suitable data and policies
• Report on sales and market trends
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:
• A minimum three years’ purchasing experience
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Highly organised with strong analytical skills
