The client, one of the largest independent Architecture, Town Planning, Masterplanning Consultancies, is looking for a talented an Assistant Urban Designer to join the team in Leeds. They are a multi-disciplinary who specialise in a various project across Leisure, Commercial, Residential, Renewables, Educational, Land-promotion and Mixed-Used sectors!
The Successful candidate will have excellent opportunities for career development In addition, experience working in a multidisciplinary team with Urban Designers/Masterplanners is extremely beneficial!
The Position as an Assistant Urban Designer
Collaborate with Senior members of the team.
Assist in the preparation of high-quality planning documents, including visions, design and access statements, design codes, feasibility studies and associated drawings.
Work with the wider planning team to make sure relevant policy and guidance is followed.
Attending site visits and client meetings.
Communicating with clients, design team and stakeholders, as appropriate.
Provide a positive contribution to wider elements of running the practice, including helping to prepare marketing collateral, presentation images, social media posts and website updates.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as an Assistant Urban Designer
Undergraduate degree in either Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Town Planning, Built Environment or Urban Design.
Excellent visual presentation skills, experienced in advanced graphic communication techniques such as 3D modelling, hand sketching, rendering, urban design diagrams and technical drawings.
Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite to produce presentation images and reports, with a particular focus on Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Experience using CAD software to a reasonable standard.
