Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £24,148.80 per annum plus bonus and Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Llanelli, SA14 9SD

What you'll be doing;

Hands-on support to the maintenance technician to help with machinery and equipment breakdowns.
Ensuring Willet area is clean and tidy.
Filter cloth changing and also weekly washing.
Participate in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings on site.
Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance scheduled within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Maintain safe working practices when operating hand, power and workshop tools.
Reviewing daily work sheets and prioritising tasks accordingly and complete as directed.
Painting site.
Cleaning site vans.
Cleaning the Poly room.
Cleaning and emptying office / toilet bins etc at the site.
Covering Waste Recycling Operators when they are on holiday / sickness.
Covering Class 2 Tanker when the Tanker driver is on holiday/sickness.
Complying with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.

What we're looking for;

Educated to GCSE/standard grade level as a minimum.
Full/ clean UK driving licence.
Previous experience in building maintenance is required
Trade qualifications would be advantageous
Ability to maintain and repair a range of equipment
Speed and efficiency of work
Good computer skills
