Generator Technician, Ipswich outskirts (Stowmarket side)

Mon-Fri - Permanent

Salary circa £40,000-£45,000 NEG/DOE + End of year company bonus. 20 days annual leave rising to 25 days +BH. Fully expensed company van provided.

Experienced Generator Technician required to join a busy diesel generator division specialising in the service, maintenance and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment.

Outline of the role

* Service, maintenance and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment.

* Attend offsite breakdowns.

* Fault finding and diagnosis.

* Load bank testing.

* Provide 24-hour emergency cover on call-out rota (1 week in 5)

* Assist in the installation of diesel generators.

Experience and skills required

* Experience in electrical/mechanical engineering background with supporting qualifications.

* Approved electrician (18th edition) – advantageous

* Knowledge of common generator control systems

* Adapt to changing workload and be flexible to suit department needs.

* Organised, self-motivated and a team player.

* IT proficient

Experience with installations in an industrial environment will be highly beneficial.

Full support in the role along with a fully expensed company van and phone will be provided. In addition, you will be equipped with the latest diagnostic software to provide customers with the highest level of service.
