Our client is an important investment bank, looking for an Operations Assistant to assist in budget control processes (i.e. reconciliation of staff, consultancy and missions expenses) ; assist with creating and editing financial documents; acquiring data from primary and secondary data sources, build reports and maintaining data bases; support in development of the new Advisory IT application in particular in data analysis and application business needs; performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, processing the emails and requests received; assist in the accurate preparation, finalisation and distribution of letters, notes, complex reports, graphs, and presentations; support on a day to day basis the implementation of processes to assure the good progress of operations, reporting and monitoring.
The ideal candidate is Certified secondary level education; has at least 3 years of relevant professional experience (prior work in finance/accounting/disbursement area would be an advantage);proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel; previous experience to information technology, in particular, relational databases and programming. Also, the successful candidate is familiar with basic accounting and reporting principles. An experience in working with SERAPIS, Business Objects and in particular with PeopleSoft will be considered as an asset. Fluency in English is mandatory.
The candidate has an ability to understand and analyse data and business needs, focussing on both technical issues and business processes; he has the sense of responsibility, commitment/motivation, organisation and prioritisation. Good diplomatic skills and ability to deal with various counterparts; with good interpersonal skills, team spirit and client oriented approach; numeracy and detail focus; precision and accuracy
