General Manager - £65000 - £70000 plus bonus – Coalville
Have you worked in Logistics?
Do you have an excellent understanding of EU import and export?
Have you worked as a General Manager in Logistics covering Warehousing and Transport?
Do you have supplier relationships in place?
What’s the Opportunity?
You will complement the existing General Management team for this established and reputable logistics company who have an excellent presence across the UK and globally .They are wanting an experienced General Manager in Warehousing and Transport to support the existing Road and Ocean General Managers. Reporting into the board of directors you will be able to think strategically to drive efficiency and optimisation. You’ll be fully accountable for all aspects of the product, performance, sustainable growth and profitability therefore a sound financial and sales knowledge is paramount!
What you’ll be doing as a General Manager, but not limited to;
* Operationally you will manage performance monitoring KPI for your workforce and customer SLA’s
* You will produce annual budgets across all branches for their warehousing and transport activities
* Build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships across the business and with clients
* Development of your people keeping the business at the forefront of their filed
* You’ll understand and will meet your customers expectation
* Will have an understanding of supply chain from the customers perspective
* Improve and implement change where necessary
Your experience and attributes as a General Manager will include
* Extensive knowledge of warehouse procedures and WMS
* Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures in the workplace
* You will know Import and Export
* Will have worked in a similar role leading warehouse and transport operations across multiple sites
* A proven track record of success
