A rapidly expanding manufacturer based just outside of Bury St Edmunds are looking for an experienced welder fabricator to join their growing work force!
The starting salary for this role is circa £14ph depending on experience with the opportunity for a pay review subject to a successful probationary period. Overtime will be available all at increased rates of pay!
Welder fabricator duties: -
MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel
Receive work orders from the Team Leader and complete each order in a timely manner
Jig and weld the components into weld assemblies to a high standard i.e., burr free, neat welding with good penetration, in line with the engineering drawings
Safely operate workshop equipment i.e., band saws, mills, lathes, drills, break presses, punching machines, welders, plasma cutters, guillotines etc. to make the required components
Ensure workshop equipment is well maintained
This position will predominantly be MIG welding and fabricating of mild steel to assemble agricultural machinery. Some of the work would be repairs & maintenance.
Hours are 08:00-17:00, Monday-Friday and would turn permanent subject to a 3-month probation period.
