The Company:

We are working with a growing Regional Building Contractor who have grown consistently over the last few years and are capable of taking on construction projects valued up to £20 Million for a varied client base which are almost exclusively based in the North West of England.

They are privately owned, profitable and are active in a number of market sectors including; education, healthcare, leisure, extra care, residential, commercial and industrial.

In addition to securing work via good relationships with public and private sector clients they have a number of their own developments on site and due to start later this year.

They have already secured their turnover target for this year and are looking at another year of growth for next year.

The Role:

This is a new role for the business so will get the chance to put in to place processes and procedures that will work for you.

The plan is to expand the Design Management team within the next year so there is the opportunity for you to grow your own team too.

You will be tasked with controlling design activity on projects through the preconstruction and delivery phases.

You will provide advice on design risk and produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.

You will ensure the delivery team are working to the correct specifications.

Work closely with the pre-construction manager, technical, commercial & operational delivery teams.

This contractor provides really good support and training to help you to be successful in your career with a Senior Management team who have joined from a variety of top tier contractors who are keen to pass on their knowledge.

You:

They would like to recruit an experienced Design Manager / Coordinator and would expect someone to have a minimum 5 years practical Design Management experience to have developed the skills and experience required to be successful in the role.

You will need to be able to commute to their offices so will likely live in Greater Manchester or Lancashire.
