Electrical Small Works Contract Manager

Are you currently working as a Contract Manager or Supervisor in an electrical field, looking for a new challenge in the East Sussex area? As multidisciplinary electrical contractors headquartered in Eastbourne and Brighton, my client offers a diverse array of electrical services to commercial and business clients, local authorities, schools, and housing associations throughout Sussex and Kent.

Beginning as a small family electrical contractor, the company has blossomed into a thriving operation boasting a workforce of over 50 employees. Currently, the company are looking to employ a Small Works Contract Manager to work within a team environment on their council contracts that run compliance & responsive works, alongside medium sized lighting and power projects.

The successful applicant will be required to have previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Contracts Supervisor and who wishes to develop their career with a growing, friendly and supportive team.

The job duties involve the following;

* Ensuring strict adherence to current standards and practices within the Electrical Industry.

* Independently managing assigned tasks within the designated section.

* Handling reactive and small installation works within the council portfolio assigned.

* Overseeing emergency lighting installation and remedial works.

* Addressing commercial reactive works promptly.

* Carrying out commercial installation works for small-to-medium sizes contracts.

The role will be supported by an existing Contracts Administrator already working on the contracts who will deal with the day-to-day bookings, reactive and compliance invoices and general administration on the contracts and liaison with the client.

To be considered for this position, you are required to fulfil the following criteria;

* Qualified Electrician as standard with City & Guilds 2391.

* Updated to 18th Edition.

* BS 2394 and BS 2395 Testing & Installation qualified essential.

* Committed to building an effective team, strong communicator, with the ability to relate well to others.

* NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor status is desirable, training would be provided if otherwise.

* You will have proven organisational skills, with the ability to project plan effectively.

* You are a competent user of IT, with a willingness to utilise new software.

* Full, clean or near clean, UK driver’s license.

* Competent writer of quotations and proposals.

* Ability to manage resources effectively to achieve the delivery of projects to time and within budget.

This role offers a basic salary of up to £47,500pa, however this can be discussed further upon interview. You will be offered a company pension programme, internal perks and 25 days' annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
