Design Manager

Join this Main Contractor and their family run construction company who are dedicated to their projects. They are one of the leading construction companies in UK and Ireland who pride themselves in delivering landmark projects for their clients.
We are seeking a talented Design Manager to join their team on a £20M Care Home in Essex compromising 87 bedroom care home with extensive communal facilities and 3 self-build houses. The building is 3 stroreys high.
The project is starting the 8 week design period next week and starting on site in July.
Working with the likes of Google, Hotel Inn, Premier Inn and many more in sectors such as Health Care, Data Centres, Hotels along with Residential and Commercial.
As a Design Manager, you will be at the forefront of their creative endeavours, leading a team of talented designers to bring our vision to life. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver projects that redefine industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of design in collaboration with a passionate and dynamic team reporting to the Lead Design Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure project success
* Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative design solutions
* Conduct regular site visits to ensure design integrity and quality control
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and creativity
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role
* Experience with similar scale company and projects
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
* Proficiency in design software and all relevant IT
* Excellent project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
