To help us achieve this we are looking for someone to join our current team and support our workshop electricians and customers. If you are an experienced electrician or mechanic with electrical experience within the construction industry and are looking for a career in a reputable business, then this is the role for you!
About The Role
We are looking for Workshop Electrical Fitter to join the team at our Chandlers Ford branch.
Due to the nature of this role, we will require individuals to have experience in Electric pumps or a similar qualification in Mechanical.
Main Responsibilities:
* You will be carrying out fault finding and carrying out full repairs of electrical submersible/surface pumps and motors, this will include electrical tasks working with motors and mechanical tasks concerning bearings and mechanical seals
* Within this role you will be working with and repairing broken pumps and replenishing second hand pumps.
* You will require a good level of engineering experience, within manufacturing or pumps.
* You will be working within our team of electricians and alongside our workshop electrician who all hold a variety of experience and a broad range of skills & knowledge.
* We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, wants to learn new skills, is keen to learn about the company, asks questions and shows genuine interest.
* You will need to be able to communicate effectively in a timely manner and any defects found must be reported to your supervisor
This role requires a safety critical medical
Qualifications and Experience:
* ECS card with Installation or maintenance electrician (or working towards)
* Hold a driving licence with a willingness to travel as and when required
* A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations with experience of working in an environment with strict health and safety regulations that must be adhered to.
* Experience in similar industry, preferably within the construction/Utilities industry
* Experience working as an electrician working with motors and control panels so understands the challenges of the role and that can be met by the team
* Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft package skills, particularly the ability to read and understand Excel spreadsheets
* Ability to use own initiative to problem solve and make decisions, approaching work and situations with a proactive positive attitude
