Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Sheffield. This role offers a hybrid working environment and involves providing high-level support to our remote customers through our ServiceDesk. The successful candidate will work with a variety of operating systems and hardware, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and technical excellence.

The Role:

* Provide professional support to all customers' services.

* Self-audit work to ensure compliance with all technical and operational quality standards.

* Respond effectively and appropriately to customer requests and inquiries.

* Complete work within agreed time scales.

* Comply with Health & Safety standards.

* Work with Microsoft Windows Server.

* Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.

* Utilize Microsoft 365 – Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, and Intune/Endpoint Manager.

* Implement and manage virtual technologies such as AVD, Hyper-V, and VMware.

* Handle network management tasks including TCP/IP, L3 routing, VLAN management, and LAN/WAN.

* Manage NAS/SAN storage solutions, including HPE and Dell.

* Oversee hardware firewall management, including WatchGuard and FortiGate.

* Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions such as VEEAM.

* Manage wireless technology, including Cisco Meraki.

* Promote the company’s values and ethos, ensuring a safe and accountable environment.

* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required.

The Requirement:

* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

* Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS & Group Policy

* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 – Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange & Intune/Endpoint Manager.

* Knowledge of Network Management - TCP/IP, L3 routing, VLAN management & LAN/WAN

* Knowledge of Hardware Firewall Management – Such as WatchGuard and FortiGate.

* Knowledge of Backup & Disaster Recovery – Such as VEEAM

* Demonstrate a firm commitment and apply knowledge of the principles of the Data protection act 2018/GDPR
