Acoustics and Noise Control Specialist

Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Acoustics and Noise Control Specialist for immediate employment in New York, NY; Austin, TX; Boston or Chelmsford, MA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; or San Diego, CA office. This position is expected to begin in Fall 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Primary support on noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, and development projects across the U.S.
Perform predictive analyses with spreadsheet-based tools and commercially available software such as FHWA Traffic Noise Model and CadnaA. The primary role of this position will be traffic noise modeling with the potential for expanding into other environmental and building acoustics specializations during their career progression.
Deploy and supervise a variety of sound level measurements in the field; conduct and document attended sound measurements; download and process collected data for report or presentation content inclusion. Sound measurement tasks will frequently require working in an outdoor environment in various climates. Regular travel across the United States should be anticipated.
Research and review regulatory issues regarding local, state, and national codes. 
Prepare client deliverables (e.g., letter reports, technical documents, and graphics).
While the position typically adheres to a traditional 40-hour workweek schedule, some night and weekend assignments will be required or expected.
