Gentis - Azure Cloud Architect

Our client in the public sector is currently looking for an Azure Cloud Architect for a Consultancy project.

Length: 13 months

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions utilizing Azure services.
• Craft infrastructure-as-code using TerraForm to efficiently manage Azure resources.
• Uphold security and compliance standards across Azure services and applications.
• Engineer automation scripts and processes to enhance deployment management of Azure resources.
• Collaborate with project managers to strategize and estimate cloud infrastructure needs for upcoming projects.
• Partner with developers to optimize cloud solutions for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing diagrams, runbooks, and relevant materials.
• Stay updated on the latest Azure services and technologies, offering guidance and recommendations to the team on new features and capabilities.
• Establish and maintain Azure Landing Zones while ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for the implementation and administration of cloud-based solutions.
• Provide supervision and training to junior team members on Azure services, TerraForm, Azure Landing Zones, and Azure DevOps.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in conceiving, constructing, and managing cloud-based solutions leveraging Azure services.
• Languages: French, Dutch, English
• Proficiency in TerraForm for implementing infrastructure-as-code, coupled with GIT expertise for Version Control.
• Comprehensive understanding of Azure services including Azure VMS, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, and others.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Azure DevOps, encompassing pipelines and release management.
• Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones and proven experience in their deployment.
• Robust grasp of security and compliance prerequisites for cloud-based solutions, spanning identity and access management, data safeguarding, and network security.
• Practical experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure Automation.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration aptitudes, adept at thriving within a team-oriented environment.
• Microsoft Azure certifications like Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or related credentials are advantageous.
