Payroll Coordinator

Permanent/Temp to Perm/Part time

Monday to Friday, 20 hours a week

We are recruiting for a reliable Payroll Coordinator to join our growing and friendly company in a stand-alone role at our Head Office in Dordon. Working as an integral member of our team, they will produce all aspects of the monthly payroll and associated tasks.

Payroll Coordinator Role

- To produce and process the complex payroll each month.

- To process end to end payroll and complete the process on the time and attendance system.

- To assess and process our workplace pension each month, then submit data to the pension provider.

- To submit relevant payroll data to HMRC and other relevant bodies on time each month.

- To update time and attendance system balances with the overtime paid each month.

- Produce ad-hoc payroll related administration.

- Produce end-of-month data for Group & Local Management Team.

- Ensure that changes and records are recorded and checked against reports to resolve any queries and provide an audit trail.

- Advise managers and staff on payroll related obligations and entitlement.

- Provide manager training for payroll related activities.

- Keep Payroll and Time & Attendance “How to guides” up-to-date.

- Assist with the development and maintenance of manuals, systems and procedures, including filing systems, equality monitoring information, employee records, whilst ensuring confidentiality.

- Provide general administrative support as and when is required.

- Any other reasonable duties requested by the Senior Leadership Team.

What are we looking for?

* Experience in using Sage 50 Payroll

* Experience in using a time and attendance system

* Preferably 3 years’ experience working in a similar role

* Working knowledge of payroll processes from start to finish

* Excellent IT skills

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work well with others

* Reliability and integrity are key

* Maintain confidentiality

* Ensuring accuracy and meticulous attention to detail

* Excellent communication & questioning skills

* A payroll qualification would be desirable but not essential
