QS - Groundworks
Our client, a well-established construction company specialising in groundworks and civil engineering, is seeking an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
As a Groundworks Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of groundworks projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the commercial aspects of groundworks projects, including estimating, tendering, cost control, and subcontractor management.
* Prepare and submit accurate and timely valuations and variations, ensuring that they are in line with the contractual requirements.
* Collaborate with the project team, including site managers and engineers, to ensure that groundworks projects are delivered to the required quality standards.
* Develop and maintain effective communication with clients and other stakeholders, including regular progress reports.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying for groundworks and civil engineering projects.
* Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, contracts, and procurement processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage client and stakeholder relationships.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and timely reports.
