ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS TECHNICIAN (EIC)
WHEELING, IL
DIRECT HIRE
The pay rate starts at around $36.75/hr. and .90 cent shift differential.
WORK HOURS- 12 hr night shift, 6 pm to 6:30 am. Rotational night shift.
The primary role of the Electrical, Instrumentation, and controls Technician is to care for the successful operation of all electrically controlled devices on his/her shift. Responsible for the electrical controls on certain lines and/or departments assigned to him/her.
Typical Responsibilities and Duties:
* Troubleshoot basic electrical problems throughout the plant.
* Troubleshooting motor and motor control problems.
* Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
* Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and programs.
* Troubleshoot problems with HMI's software and hardware.
* Troubleshoot control network problems.
* Troubleshoot problems with metal detection systems, case coding, and bottle coding systems.
* Maintain all electrical prints for all the systems that have been assigned.
* Maintain all parameters for all VFD's and HMIs for the systems assigned.
* Provide electrical support to capital and internal projects.
* Ensure compliance with the Controls Change Management System.
* Train mechanics on all shifts to be able to work through any rudimentary electrical and control problems on the floor.
Education and Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 2-year Technical Degree from an accredited college.
* 3-5 Years experience in Previous EIC role.
* 3-5 Years of experience in Food Manufacturing or related Industries / Processes is preferred.
